The AWT trays will conform to the contours of your teeth and are almost unnoticeable
when worn.
Follow the step-by-step process to create mouth trays that will be a sure fit for you.
Step 1 :: Heat water just below boiling and pour into a deep cup.
Step 2 :: Insert the first teeth whitening tray into the water so the arches are completely
submerged.
Step 3 :: Slowly wave the tray in the water while holding the tab until the tab becomes
flexible. A slight loss of shape will be noticed in the tray.
Step 4 :: Lift the tray vertically from the water and test for flexibility. The tray material should
be soft and pliable.
Step 5 :: Use your finger to slightly flatten and flare the front segment of the tray and then
spread the tray to avoid it from folding on itself. Widen the teeth bleaching tray enough to
accommodate fitting.
Step 6 :: Place teeth whitening tray over upper teeth first. Use tab to approximate center.
Bite down with moderate pressure to set tray in place.
Step 7 :: Press firmly over entire length of arch with first finger and thumb of both hands.
The tray is conformed to the surfaces of the teeth when heat is no longer felt,
approximately 15-30 seconds.
Step 8 :: Close lips and bite lightly a few times prior to removing the teeth bleaching tray.
Step 9 :: Allow teeth whitening trays to completely cool outside of the mouth.
Step 10 :: Repeat with the bottom teeth whitening tray.
Step 11 :: Place trays in mouth and evaluate fit. Whitening trays should have precise but
not overly tight fit. Rough edges or pressure points may be relieved by trimming with
scissors and/or re-warming trays.
Step 12 :: When the edges of the trays are smooth, re-warm the entire tray a few seconds
and insert one last time to relieve tightness. Put teeth whitening tray on and off teeth to
insure there are no significant undercuts, and the removal is smooth with a slight
retention.
Step 13 :: After using teeth whitening gel, rinse trays with cool water and store in a cool dry
place.
CAUTION :: Once the tray enters the heated water it becomes extremely flexible. Be
careful not to allow the edges of the tray to fold onto itself. Repeat procedure if the tray
is not soft enough to form to your teeth, or if you are not satisfied with the fit.
